flyingscotsman.....I was there about 3 years ago. If you are in that area, you HAVE to go up and see Whitby Abbey. It's absolutely amazing.....you can feel more ancient presence there than about anyplace I've ever been. It's the inspiration behind Dracula by Bram Stoker don't ya know.

Please don't be in that area and miss Whitby Abbey.

Jorvik and York Minster were pretty cool. I stayed with a friend and his family when I was there. He lives in Leeds.

Warwick was pretty cool. I'd drop Bath to one night and go to Salsbury the other night and go to Stonehenge that day. Bath was ok, but not worth 2 days, IMO.

Also...enough stuff in London to last more than 2 days, but it depends on if you want to avoid the touristy stuff or not (I didn't...I did all the touristy stuff too).

it's sad that roslyn will always be know for something as pathetic as the da vinci code. at least dolly the sheep counted for something.

to me, it was a village to go through through on one of my sunday rides.

Wife & I have two digital cameras so I think we are running around 800 pics so far, I figure we will be well over the 2000 before we get back.

Alnwick was used for the outside, Gloucester catherdral was used for some corridors, Oxford the hall etc etc
I think if memory sevres not counting mock ups they have used 5 differnet real buildings for parts of hogwarts

2800 pictures, 10 pics per post is 280 posts, minimum of 30 seconds between each post...Looks like it'll take you a bit over two hours to post all those pics! Better get started!
