Hi, I'm fixing up an old frame, the only problem is that there is a U-Lock locked to it to which the key has been lost for a long time. I was wondering if there was anyone in Calgary who has experience removing these with say an angle grinder? I would be willing to pay for the service, and I can transport the frame anywhere.

If it's an old U-lock, try the 'bic pen' key. I'm sure there are videos on Youtube explaining how to do this.
I've tryed the bic pen technique, but I haven't been able to do it.
look in yellow pages, under locks, then call some lock masters, should be able to break your lock with right tools.
As I am told, an angle grinder would finish off an old u-lock in 30 seconds or less. Sawzall with a metal blade would also be fast. If you took the bike and lock to a locksmith, it would be off very quickly as well. Might want to bring proof of ownership with you tho.
Just go to a metal shop, mechanic or muffler shop and they will most likely do it for free.
But a case of beer would be nice to.
Thanks for the suggestions. I found an angle grinder in my in-laws garage and got it off in a few seconds. Locksmiths wanted to charge $95 to remove it.
The pros use a car jack and spread the U part until it pops.
