Foo - I can ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok, I realize there are people on here and everywhere else who have much bigger issues than having to take 4 weeks off the bike. But it about killed me. 4 weeks of some of the most beautiful weather we've had all year and I couldn't ride. But at last I had Docs permission and could get my shoe on so I went and rode with my Wed. night group. I got my butt kicked but I rode. It's amazing how much you lose in 4 weeks of not riding. Even my efforts in the gym the past two weeks didn't seem to help a whole lot. But it's OK, I'm back!:D

I know what ya mean! I just got back on the bike after my little crash screwed up the shoulder and it felt great!

I know what you are going through all too well. I was recently off for 6 weeks due to back pain and only "just" got back (small rides only) last week. It was like starting over.

I'd love to be riding right now but I just don't trust my bike at the moment :(
The bearings are getting bad and it un-nerves me just riding around the yard.
Oh well.

Right there with ya man. Just had knee surgery for a torn meniscus, then got an infection in one of the incision sites. Been off for six weeks and just made the first spin around the neighborhood yesterday. Man it feels good to be back. still a little pain but getting better.

Thanks all. The OBS (Oklahoma Bicycle Society) does a couple of all weekend, camp-out rides and I was really bummed about not making the fall one, which is this weekend. Now I know I can. I won't be fast but I can have fun and it's good to slow down and just ride once in a while.
