Foo - I just found a working, pristine NES at the thrift store for $5.

Let the controller-smashing frustration begin.
Sweet. I've seen stuff like that at thrift stores before, but never the complete set. It's usually just the deck or something. I don't know if people donate them like that, or if the workers separate the set apart.
I ended up dropping $50 on a NES system (deck, two controllers, and a light gun) at a flea market. Kind of a rip, but oh well. Have fun!

Oh, yeah, this was just the deck. I had all the other necessary gear already.

Someone please find my lower jaw... WOW
Amatuer.Holy christ, man.
 to the grey Zapper. I got one with my set. I dare not take it outside, though, lest the police mistake it for a real laser pistol and shoot me dead!
I'd love to USB-ize an Advantage or a Super Advantage someday. They're supposedly rock-solid.
AAAAAaAAHHHHH!! POWER PAD!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
I loved that thing. :D

Holy the crap! Serendipper for president! He's just unambiguously shown he's more qualified than anyone who's been elected or even ran since 1983.

I've got the powerpad and gray zapper somewhere here. The NES (with 2 controllers) is still plugged into the family room TV too. :D Then there's about 30 games laying around somewhere (some by the TV, some in my bedroom). I occasionally will pick up a used NES game at Gamestop if i find something interesting that i was really wanting when i was a kid. :)
Never did get any of the special controllers... I was already good enough so i never needed them. ;)
[for what it's worth, i've also got the SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii also plugged in. i can't help it, i'm a Nintendo fanboi.] :p
??? (http://www.retrousb.com/)Yep, exactly.
I occasionally will pick up a used NES game at Gamestop if i find something interesting that i was really wanting when i was a kid. :)WTF? I've stopped even bothering with Gamestop because all the ones I've seen have stopped carrying original Playstation games recently, and haven't carried 16-bit stuff for a long time. I'd be in there all of the time if they had SNES/Genesis, NES, and other old stuff. That would rule.

This stuff is worth something? We have nes and the second version piled in a box in the basement. Not too sure of how many games in total, but the Zeldas were her favorite.
Second version? As in the redesigned NES, or do you mean the Super Nintendo?

Whatever was hyped next. Probably the super because she bought a newer Zelda that looked more 3d.
Ah, ok. Yeah, the NES and SNES aren't worth much, aside from special circumstances (Especially original, still with/in the box, etc.), but they're still fun, so you can usually find a buyer if you're looking to sell one.
wow, just wow man.
i was actually talking to someone about buying a tv and a wii earlier today for the sake of playing super smash brothers, guilty gear, and what ever the most recent f-zero is. I cant afford to submit my life to the crack that is zelda

Working NES and SNES systems with the proper accessories go for around $50 on eBay.
If the Zelda game looked "more 3D" you probably have a Nintendo 64, which is worth less despite being newer.

I still have callouses from those damn controllers, and went through gallons of rubbing alcohol trying to keep the game cartridges clean.
