Gearlink.com somehow got ahold of my e-mail address some time ago and have since then been sending me advertisements a few times a month. At the bottom of each message is the standard opt-out feature: send an e-mail to remove@gearlink.com to be unsubscribed from future e-mails. The problem is that the feature doesn't work. An e-mail sent to remove@gearlink.com gets bounced back with a message stating that the mailbox is full. This has been the case every time I've tried to unsubscribe -- probably ten or fifteen times in the last few months. I have sent numerous e-mails to customer service and tech support and got no response. My understanding is that failing to cease e-mailing advertisements to someone who has explicitly requested you do so is a violation of federal law. I am curious why Gearlink.com would engage in such behavior.
