Hey Joe, just out of curiosity, what kind of "kilometerage" (mileage, for you US folk) average are you thinking per day? Any idea of route?

well im in saskatchewan right now. so it depends. on a few things. first, if i go before the winter hits i want to do a long working tour to southern america, with someone wanting to do this type of tour. im not really in a hurry. if i left when its cold (below -10 at nights), i would be doing 200km a day until i get to where the weather is a bit better, then probably 120km, and work about a week a month maybe, maybe less. i've actually landed a fairly good job here, so the idea isnt as alluring anymore, however...i cant say that i dont stare at the highway every morning (doesnt help im working out of town and have to drive on it), and picture myself biking.

where are you?

I'm located in Ottawa...
I was actually thinking about starting a tour myself and seeing where it takes me (I'm completely unattached to anything these days). I'm looking more for ideas myself at this point. The road does call to me quite a bit lately.

I don't know what's your exact path, but I would like to join you from the US Midwest to the US south border states. I would love to see how the weather and people change as we went south.
