HELP!!!! I was installing a new shifter cable into a 105 shifter. I ran the cable all the way to the rear derailleur,and attatched it. When trying to shift I noticed the derailleur wasn't moving. Upon further inspection,the head of the cable has become lodged between where it enters the shifter,and where it exits into the shifter cable housing. I called my LBS on he told me it has to come out enterance side,not the exit side. How will it be possible to get it back out,when the cable end is bigger than the opening.

Assuming you are talking about STI levers, just push on the cable from the housing side, spinning it 180 occasionally, and you should be able to free it. Make sure the shifter is not putting the cable under tension.

Yeah, I've seen the block at the end of the cable turn 90 degrees and get stuck in there really good. If you take a tiny flathead to help the head out, with the housing off the shifter, you should be able to push it out from the housing side. I'll bet you can't spin the cable though, without causing more problems, since the head would be locked in...
