I rode my age! I've been 51 for three days. Here's my odometer from today's ride:

51.25 miles. The longest I ever rode in my life was 50 miles, and that was when I was 16.
Yeah, I'm a fat middle-aged schlub, but...
I rode my age!!! :D

Great job! Half a century is a very respectable ride.
I suspect it gets a little more difficult to accomplish this as we approach our 100th birthday:D

Great job!
Good job on the 51 mile ride! I've only been able to do about 40 myself -- and I'm only 38. ;-)

I've done over my age, but I'm only 22. :p
Congrats on your accomplishment!
Great! I had planned on doing something last month for my birthday, but I didn't.

Congrats!
I started my program on my birthday - I wasn't ready to ride 38 miles my first day out of the chute
However I did turn a 50 mile day on Saturday ;)

Good for you, 99.99% of Americans your age would have trouble riding 51 yards.... :D

Keep it up. You'll be finishing a century one of these days! I just finished one three weeks ago, and I'm 56. I'm not that proud though. I've been on several centuries where I was suffering and grumpy, and have been passed by 65 year olds who were chipper, laughing, and riding strong. It's amazing how many old guys there are who can finish a 100-mile-ride without too much trouble. Uh-oh, I guess I'm becoming one of them, though it's usually trouble for me. I know what it is: when you're retired you can ride several times a week. Rats! I won't be able to retire for another 10 years or so.

Nice job. Where did your ride take you? I am from Melrose, MA and I would love to try a longer ride than my 9.5 mile one way commute or my 10 to 15 mile weekend rides.

CONGRATULATIONS:D
Saturday before last, I did the same thing. I am 49 turning 50 in January and I rode 50.18 miles. Before that, my longest ride had been 25 miles. The coolest part of doing this was afterwards I was standing in a bathroom by myself and looking in the mirror and I had biggest grin on my face and no matter how I tried to wipe it off it kept coming back. Man what a great feeling.

It's amazing what people can do on a bike with a little training and effort. Happy Birthday!
