First of all hello
I am not a frequent english speaker nor writer so my sentences can be somehow wrong (spelling).
I am interested in the mechanical propertys of common aluminium alloys (used in the bicycle industry -frame manufacture-) and their chemichal composition (ISO/ANSI standards).
I did looked on the internet and didn't found any standards and at my university library the standards aren't really updated (especialy on the aluminium alloys).
if anyone can provide a link to these standards would be excellent.
I am designing a long travel full suspension frame so steel isn't really a choice because of the mass issue (but could be an option - as a last resort -).

Try exploring MatWeb (http://www.matweb.com).

Aluminum alloys commonly used for bicycle frames are 6061-T6, 7005-T6, 7075-T6, and Scandium introduced into aluminum alloys. Use these search terms on the MatWeb site for comprehensive properties of each alloy.

FWIW, you might try using the American spelling "aluminum" rather than the British spelling "aluminium" for better search engine results.

thank you for the answer it really helped -I found the data I needed - no actual standards (need money for those) - but I can compare the sheet found there with the european standards and choose some similar alloys
thank's again
