Can anyone point me to some web sites for information of Road Cycling Techniques (hill climbing, position, etc.). I'm migrating from a Hybrid to a road bike. Any help is appreciate.

Thanks,
Stan

Stan,

If you go here to Road Bike Rider (http://www.roadbikerider.com/) and give them your email address, you can get the PDF of their book "29 Pro Cycling Secrets for Roadies".

It's got some good tips from experts.

Have fun!

They'll also send you their weekly email newsletter which is filled with great information.

Just a note, I think RBR sells email addresses to spammers. I created a new freebie email account (just cause I'm paranoid about such things) and the mailbox is continually flooded with ***** ads (HGH, penis enlargement, etc). Since I've barely used that account for anything else, it's either them or a couple of other possibilities. Anybody else have a similar experience?

Roadbuzz, I don't know whether RBR is to blame for the spam in your mail box. My case sort of offers a bit of proof to the contrary. All my e-mail boxes suffer from spamming, except--so far--the one in which I receive the RBR newsletter.

There's no such thing as a free e-mail account. If you aren't paying an ISP for your account, you are paying in some way--often with ads attached to your e-mail messages, but also in spam. Companies that provide free e-mail are making money some way.

The coachcarl site isn't working correctly. Is it down or is the url incomplete?

Ditto, no problems with my email address that I set-up my RBR account on.

You'd think everyone on the net has a thumb dick with the amount of penis enlargement emails everyone gets :D

Sorry about that, CarlJStoneham. I just checked into it and found out that it doesn't work now, but it is exactly the URL that used to work. Perhaps the Coach forgot to pay his web hosting subscription, or something like that... Too bad we cannot access the site, because it had plenty good reading material.

Well, then it's probably the freebie bicycling.com mail. Stay away (unless you're looking for HGH or want to enlarge certain bodily organs). You've been warned.
