Yeah, I saw this on the news last night and was sad, angry, and scared all at the same time. They were only about 30 miles from the finish. If anyone knows how to ride a bicycle safely in traffic, it was these two. I plan to follow this story closely as the investigation unfolds. If the driver of the vehicle was being careless like so many of them do, I hope she is dealt with properly. We need some awareness around how cyclists have as much right to the road as the motorists do so this sort of thing doesn't happen.
