Hello All,
My name is Ray, I live in North East PA and I'm a clyde. (Your response- Hello Ray)

Ok, I've been ridding off and on for 11 years, mostly on for the past 5. I hit my highest weight at 289 and currently at 263.

As of today 10/23/07, I am 5 weeks into a hernia repair/infection which has kept me off the bike and sitting in a recliner w/laptop. I came across this forum and thought I could learn something or add my two cents where I could.

I ride a 01 Cannondale F700SX hard tail, with slicks, on the road, and a 04 Cannondale Jekyll in the dirt.

I am in the process of looking for a Cyclecross bike because most of my rides are a mix of paved and dirt roads. I'd also like to get a little more speed on the flats.

Here's to more knowledge and more riding!

The Great White North of Susquehanna County!

Hey, I like that name for the county that my rides, too, proudly emanate from! Is it okay if I copy it off of you?

Are you the Endless Mountain Bike Club Ray? I'm the Captain of the Susquehanna County Wheelmen, a based-near-Lenoxville think tank that, from 1990 until 2002, purported to represent cycling in our county. Then in 2002, I discovered the now-_also_-on-_its_-duff, Endless Mountain Bike Club. Of course real cyclists don't need clubs anyhow, to impel them to ride. I only joined this forum about a week ago.

Hello Tom,
We have ridden a few times before! I was with the "now-_also_-on-_its_-duff" EMBC. You are completely correct, "real cyclists don't need clubs" . And by all means, use the Great White North!

See you out there!
Ray
