Post them here.

Last night, I watched, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (http://imdb.com/title/tt0311361/) the best I can explain it as, is Kung-Foo, Lesbian Vampire, Religous, blacksploitation spoof. It was a B movie, and it knew it was a B movie, which made it viewing heaven for me.

Then, late last week, I watched Assult Of the Killer Bimbos (http://imdb.com/title/tt0092587/) this one was about some go-go dancers on the run. Also B, and knew it was B.

Meatballs was on cable last night. I haven't seen it in years. Early Bill Murray is still very funny.

So is later Bill Murray.

EDIT: I thought the title of the thread was OLD movies, not ODD movies. My bad.

Since I have a 6 year old, i watch lots of random animation. Scooby Doo is a big player right now. We watched some Bioncles movie not long ago that was pretty strange.

Bill Murray was in Meatballs? I'm gonna have to re-watch that.

EDIT: Apparently he was one of the main characters.

I watched "The Fountain" over the weekend. That was way more than I expected. I think there was some deep meaning and symbolism there, but I haven't quite finished processing it yet.

I saw '30 Days of Night' Sunday, it was decent. Interesting take on the Genre, and the isolation of an entire town as opposed to a big city, or a small group in the wilderness was cool.

Carnival of Souls. Cult horror favorite from 1962. Was filmed around here and in Kansas. Good halloween flick, if you're into bad cult horror flicks from the sixites.

Oh, that was a good one, watched it about 2 weeks ago.

I should be getting 'Cemetery Man' in a few days, it's supposed to be one of the top 10 zombie movies according to most rankings I've found.

Wow, I never expect anyone besides me or a few close friends to ever reference that movie. You sir, may have just won this thread.

Last night I watched Borat, and Talladega Nights - The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby.

I barely smiled during either one. I guess I have no sense of humor.

Underworld Evolution - more lame than odd - except for Kate Beckinsale that is.

Iknowhutchamean. I find Borat, and most of Will Farrel's characters more cringeworthy than anything.

Wow, on a slight derailment IMDB's bottom 100 movies (http://imdb.com/chart/bottom)
has apparently tanked recently. It used to go from roughly 2.4-4 for ratings, now 2.6 barely gets you on the list.

It also means that the list is all new and I'll have to start over in my goal to see them all. I was at 30ish seen too. And only about 10 of those are still listed.

The Goddess of 1967.

An very interesting take on the classic road trip movie. A rich japanese guy and a blind australian girl travel across Australia so he can purchase the 1967 Citroen DS they are driving. As they go on the trip you see her and her family's history with the pristine car taking centre stage. There are odd old adverts and DS facts randomly spread across the film. Very stunning cinematography and interesting storyline.

Hmm.. I'm no movie snob, but..

The Ladykillers
Harold and Maude (classic weird movie)
Hot Fuzz (probably only because I was expecting something completely different)

Borat is definitely cringe-comedy, which is seriously in style right now. It's not the funniest movie ever, but I definitely laughed.

The Forbidden Zone...

Was that the one with a very young Molly Ringwald? Is there a scene where the main character is walking in a desert saying "water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink."?

Um, no.

Forbidden Zone (http://imdb.com/title/tt0080752/)

Oingo Boingo did the sound track, the only two names I think I'll ever recognize for cast are Hervé Villechaize and Danny Elfman (still the front man for Oingo Boingo at the time) production quality, as I remeber it is, filmed in your parents basement quality, and I think it was mostly if not all black and white.

One of my favorite lines:
Chicken: You know the chickens are always ready to help you any way we can. But as you know...
Squeezit: What can chickens do?
Chicken: Precisely.

Recently rented three movies. I picked 2, my wife picked 1. I got grounded for picking movies for a little bit.
28 Weeks Later - sheesh. They didn't make a sequel, they made a live action video game. My bad.
The Ferryman - Kiwi horror movie. The Ferryman only showed up at the end, false advo.... My bad again.
Pan's Labyrinth - Great. Yep you guessed it, she picked it out.

Ha, you got grounded. That's great.

I've heard mixed bag on 28 Weeks Later, I'm getting it in the mail in the next week or so (blockbuster online service)

My friends and gf all have veto rights over me when we are at the local movie store renting. However they've all learned a vaulable lesson. The longer they let me randomly wander finding B movies that I absolutely 'need' to see, the harder and harder it gets to keep on vetoing my picks.

So basically, within the first 5 or so I find, I'll get one OK'ed. And then they get to suffer through 2 hours of such winners as:
Dead or Breakfast (Zombie spoof, actually rather good, according to them)
Sasquatch Hunters (not so good, except for the one guy who gets picked up and slammed into a tree)
The Host (campy Korean mutant fish movie, enjoyable)
Franken Fish (F*ing brilliant(not really, but I loved it))
Blood and Chocolate (werewolf love story, boo-urns)
Any vampire/zombie/werewolf movie I can find on the shelves.

You might get a little jealous of the DVD collection I have. Many bought for me by my wife. Box sets of b/w horror movies, all the way to Frogs, and Shatner's 1977 "hit" Kingdom of the Spiders

Shaun of the Dead and Return of the Living Dead 3 my personal favs of Zombie Movies.

If your ever in the B rated section and find Kung Fu Rascals, grab it and ignore the any attempt to veto your selection.

"Talladega Nights" has the honor of being the only movie I ever walked out on, and got a refund for on the way out.

The theatre manager didn't even hesitate, didn't bat an eye.

"Repulsion" - Roman Polanski

One of the best unheard of scary movies ever made. First saw it on the big screen when it was released in the mid 60s. Only movie I know that ever gave me nightmares.

Sunday night I watched "Paths Of Glory", a 1957 Stanley Kubrick film starring Kirk Douglas as a French colonel in World War I.

It was weird mostly because it was completely pointless. The dramatic arc goes nowhere, the conflicts aren't resolved or altered, and your perception of the characters remains identical from the moment you meet them until the end of the film. Very weird indeed. I hated it.

Give me "Amazon Women In Jeeps" any day!
