Last week I posted a report and photos of my recent bike trip in Austria. One respondent said he was in Zell am See October 7 to 13, so I wrote him and said I was there from the 6th to 9th. We overlapped. He wrote back and asked whether we had dinner at Crazy Daisy. We did, twice.

In May, 2004, I did a bike trip in Quebec's Eastern Townships. A few weeks later I read a trip report from a man who cycled through New England and into Quebec. His report stated that he stayed in Magog on a certain date, so I looked up my log and I was there the same day. I remembered seeing a bike outside one of the units at my motel, so I wrote and asked if he stayed at that motel. He did!

Anybody else been to Crazy Daisy or have any other cycling coincidences to report?

On my trip across the U.S., one night back in March, I camped in Demming NM. As I was leaving the campground, this guy pulled up along side me in his van and yelled out "are you Dean?" I was startled and a bit surprised to hear him call out my name. Turns out he had been reading my journal on Crazyguyonabike and remembered me. Just a few weeks ago I received an email from a gal in St. Francisville, LA. She said she stumbled across my website postings and remembered that she had waited on me at the IGA. She mentioned my cycling clothes and my pink towel hanging from my trunk bag. It is indeed a small world, and the internet makes it even smaller.
