I'd appreciate it if all you gals could read it, disucss it on the ride, and then decipher this book into a simple, guy-version. Usually, means a thirty words or less synopsis, and would include at least one sports reference, one explosion, and at least one picture of hot chicks. Mmmkay?

Since I'm driving out there, I'd definitely like to get at least 40 in, esp if it's flattish. However, if you want to do a shorter route, that's OK by me... I'll just keep riding into the afternoon, maybe hit Newport Coast or something. :)

I have a really good excuse though. And, Brandy, I'm sorry to bail on this ride. I may even have to bail on this Saturday's ride. But that I won't know until tomorrow.

We'll keep this at a max of 45 miles if everyone is cool with that. I've yet to map the route, but I have something in mind, which I may pre-ride a portion of tomorrow if Grandma will watch the kids. I will be riding a fixed gear and George is changing my gearing tonight so I can work on my spin, so my speed on the flats and the hills for that matter (OUCH) will be limited. This will definitely be no drop!

So I didn't get to pre-ride the route because my riding plans changed today and I did Santiago Canyon instead. I'll leave it open depending on who is coming and what the general preference is. No more than 45 miles and no drop. I promise! :D

I just had George put the 18 cog back on because I'm trying to work on my spinning and I wasn't feeling that so much with the 17. This should help with the hills on PCH and on my commute to work. My current gearing is 46-18. George mentioned something about "we could put a 49 chain ring on her" the other night, but I think I pretended not to hear him. ;):p

Unfortunately, I will not be able to do this ride. We had a death in the family :((my niece's father) and have to attend to that. Maybe next time.
