A coworker just got news from his wife that this is now getting bigger. :( This is too close to Angeles Crest and Tujunga Canyons for my comfort. Anyone got the news on this? I can't find any online.

From ABC7

A brush fire in Acton spread across nearly 30 acres in little more than an hour and was threatening some homes Tuesday, according to the county fire department. The fire was reported as a two-acre blaze at 2:42 p.m. at 2016 W. Avenue Y-8.
About an hour later, it had grown to nearly 30 acres and was moving into the Angeles National Forest, said Inspector Ed Lozano of the county fire department.
Lozano said almost 250 firefighters, aided by three helicopters, were concentrating on structure protection.
The fire was about 5 percent contained, Lozano said.

It looks like it started south of the 14 freeway off of Aliso Canyon Road. I ride there a lot and there are quite a few homes and ranches in that area.

I heard it was contained a couple hours ago because they got to it early. Not sure if there is any truth to that though.

They really need to find the people who are starting some of these fires...
