There are so many cyclocross video clips to see on YouTube and other sites now. This one is new and, so far, my all time favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv4MYJfa_xI.
I was at Granogue on Saturday. Great course, awesome day.

Post your favorite clip.

Good one flargle, that was a random act of cyclocross.

Watch that first man through, about the only guy to clean that section. He just rode straight by the apex, until he got to the grass on the edge of the course where there was some traction. Smart move.

Good one flargle, that was a random act of cyclocross. The remount was actually quite good.

That might have come from his triathlon days, as I understand that good triathletes will do some form of flying remount, especially in sprint events.

The guy that did the Granogue / Wissahickon clip just put out a good one from the USGP in Kentucky this past weekend. You can see it and others from earlier in the season at his website www.cyclofile.com.
Anybody know what the music is in the Kentucky clip? I know I've heard it, but can't remember who it is.

Ohio Players, Love Rollercoaster

The ten minute clip that dronkert posted from this year's Koppenberg (sp?) cross is epic, for so many reasons. I highly recommend checking it out.

It would be even better if I spoke Flemish, and they had shown the men's race. Hopefully that's coming in episode 2.

Woops, I watched the 10 minute intro to the mens race clip. You're right, that looked like an awesome race. I still wish I understood Flemish, if that's what they're speaking.

Anyone on the forums know Rick Mihills or any of the guys from Henry's?

Trekbikedude

guess not.

I've met a few of the Henry's guys. Ride for FSVS, sponsored by Henry's, but I live down south of Dover so haven;t gotten up there too often.

Trekbikedude

I just started working there on weekends, started in the summer time.

Sweet. I spent a couple of years (part-time) in a shop in NJ. Great experience, great way to learn. Great way to convince yourself you need the hundreds of dollars of bike specific tools I have in the basement.

And I just e-mailed Rik through FSVS to try and find a cheap cross frame for me.

Wow, that's interesting. But what's more interesting is this clip of, current world champion, Erwin Vervecken talking about juniors coming up in 'cross.

I have a lot of respect for guys that race cross.

I'd love to ride a cross bike through some of those courses, but having to dismount and run over and up obstacles isn't my idea of a good time. I don't think I'd mind trying my hand at racing mtb though.

I've never tried it, but cross sure looks like a blast.

Try it... you'll LOVE it.

I'm a college undergrad. I have two road bikes and a mountain bike. I can't afford a cross bike. Even if I could, I'd have no where to put it!

A sport like cross needs steady funds to take care of things when they break. I don't really have that kind of income right now. Bummer eh?

Though a BD cross bike for summer tooling might be feasible. I'm going to be in africa and I'd want to commute by bike. What better bike for the job than a cross bike :)
