I've searched the forums, I've searched the web, I've even been to Ringwood and didn't find any...
Does anyone know where I can find trail maps for Ringwood in NJ?

Best might be to contact the park directly.
Trails.com has something, but you have to join and pay.
added - this one has a map http://www.bikekinetix.com/t_nj/nj_state/ringwood_sp.php

Ah the last link (bikekenetix.com) I get an access denied error.
But from the Ringwood state park site, I found a link to Ramapo Valley Cycling Club (http://www.rvccmtb.com/)
and it led me to.... TADAAA
a MAP OF THE RINGWOOD TRAILS (http://www.rvccmtb.com/RVCC%20ringwood%20map.jpg)
I'm not sure why I missed that before... I was all over the NJ State Parks site a couple months ago. I think the site might have changed recently. Or maybe I'm just blind.
Regardless, thanks LOTS. Now I'm ready to go ride!

My last link works for me, but it might be reloading the cache.
Try the top end of the link http://www.bikekinetix.com/
got to "Northeast" choose New Jersey, choose Federal and State (on the left menu) and Ringwood is in the middle of the list.

Interesting... even the root domain is down.

We went to Ringwood with the rvcc map (http://www.rvccmtb.com/RVCC%20ringwood%20map.jpg)
It was great... but we also found trails that start off skyline drive, for example in Oakley, NJ. The locals mentioned "cannonball trail" for example. But once again, I'm coming up empty in my search for maps or trail info.
Anyone know anything?

I'm going to start getting on the Ringwood trails again soon. I've been swamped lately with stuff to do, but it's coming to an end finally, and I'll get back on the bikes again. We'll coordinate something soon......
I've heard of this before - are these mtb trails?

Ringwood? Yes. Well it's a state park in New Jersey with a huge amount of MTB trails.

The trails off Skyline drive start in Oakland, not Oakley. The Cannonball trail is a hiking trail with some area's that may not be bike friendly. A good map is the North Jersey Trail Map put out by the New York/New Jersey Trail Conference, http://www.nynjtc.org/ The three parks in that area, Ringwood, Ramapo Mountain and Ramapo Valley Reservation are all inter-connected by a lot of trails.
Of course, mtbing is illegal in the Ramapo Reservation which is pretty much from bear swamp lake east.
Yes, the parks are all interconnected but most of them are hiking trails. I've heard different opinions about the Cannonball trail and I have MTB'ed it from Pompton Lakes over the bridge on I-287 to Bear Swamp Lake but this was many years ago.. it's all uphill (gradual for the most part) to bear swamp lake which means it's a nice cruise on the way back.
Ramapo mtn has some pretty cool and gnarly trails though.. ;)
