Just a typical e-bay purchase question (at least I admit it...)

I purchase a rare 1970's italian road bilke. It's a Romana Formula 3000 made by EBM. It's in good shape, but I have not been able to find any info on this bike. The owner bought the bike in the 1970's and said it was one the first racing bikes with removable wheels. It's all original and a garage fixture.

I bike commute daily. Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, has a decent amount of bikes stolen (police view stolen bikes as petty theft, and don't do much about it, u-locks don't really work, etc...). For this reason, I keep a small fleet of inexpensive road bikes in my basement. Question is - because this bike is more vintage/rare than I usually buy, should I baby this one? I am not looking for value since I just bought it - just an opinion.

If you know anything about this type of bike that would also be helpful.

It's not that special. Looks like a typical bike-boom type, more or less. Definitely doesn't require babying - so have fun with it.

I concur. It's a boom era, entry level model. The brand is rare, but the components were common and low end.
