Main frame is 6000 series Aluminum, and the rear triangle is Carbon Fiber.

What I find curious is that you can get a full carbon XTC in Tiawan but this new American version is a hybrid. Any opinions on why that would be?

Guessing to stiffen up the ride and eliminate some of the flex in the bottom bracket area.

Cheaper too!
