My wife and I rode part of the Mills Creek Trail in the Kansas City area on Saturday. Our starting point was the Shawnee Mission Park. First we rode north until we ran into some construction that stopped us. Then we rode south until our energy ran out! All in all it was about 25 miles. The weather was great!!

We rode out recumbent tandem trike, and I must say, that some the hills north of the park have hellacious grades. I am really bad estimating these things, but at least one of them looked more than 30%. Anybody from there know the real values?

Thanks

I don't know the gradient, but you're right, they are steep.

yes, there is one climb in that section with a crazy grade. But that's about it.
I think you can get around that construction, and you can take it all the way to the river, with some nice views there. especially early morning at sunrise. very cool.
