Bob Roll is pure, unadulterated, pimp juice. Ah, I've not seen his myspace page yet, gotta check that out:)
Kicking it back up for Pimp Bob... Who is planning to attend ?
Already met him... this was a Birthday present from a good friend. I got to meet Bob at a friend's shop during the Tour of California (2006) and the next day had the opportunity to ride with the man. I lasted about 5 miles and fell off the pack. It was an evening (and morning) well spent. The man is full of funny stories!

Even though Bob never was a top competitor he was a Pro none the less and I am sure could ride us all into the ground even today....
He was always a strong rider and if you have never read his books, I would suggest to. Bob tells some of the funniest stories. I was in tears laughing so hard at times.

He may have never been a top competitor, but he was a stud nonetheless. Every team needs a guy like him. A guy that will ride on the front for 100k and not complain because he knows that is what he is getting paid to do. I raced against him at both Redlands and the Tour of the Gila a couple of times each. They were after his best years and once he had already taken up mountain bike racing. I'm sure I raced against him the year that the photo with the sideburns was taken. He always had the people around him laughing in the group, even when the race was getting hard.
Well ,we got to meet Bob Roll today. Stan and I went over to Velo Pas at 9 and about 200 of us rode in a peleton around Pasadena for 20 miles. Man, there was some expensive bikeware out there. Meet Roll after the ride. He's cool and Harach put on a small BBQ that was appreciated. We figured that at least half of the bikes in the peleton was purchased from Harach, including mine.;) I've never seen so many Time frames. It was fun to have an easy day on the bike for once.:o
