I dont get it..... your def of "A game" is the same as his more or less. You cant do any of your "A Game" without having all of his "A Game" ready to go.

He originally defined it in the context of a group ride. If I'm showing up to a group ride, I could have done intervals the two days before, or have them planned for the next two days, and not care. I'm there to put the hurt on people.

We took his original statement to mean being competitive, showing up all systems go...during his very early base.

What I said about group rides, during high summer, and what he said about group rides, during the winter/base time of year, are completely different.

Third: I did not have to rely solely on BF mentoring.

That alone will get you maximal gains. So much conflicting and confusing advice on BF that I'm sure it does more harm than good.

I'll be your coach. First order of business: Stop breaking your bike in races.

Why do you think I have all the fans? They come out to watch the train wreck. :D

The training team does not get together to go hammering and beating the S**T of each other. Since I have not had the complete experience I can only relate to what previous team members tell me. Our meetings will be a combination of conversations, training classes, multi rider time on the computrainers, (where you ride at your calculated threshold) and general BS sessions. It's a good place to talk about individual training issues, provide advice or just interact with other like minded enthusiast. Each team member is on a different training regimen so the team is more of a support group. I like the concept.

My A game is making sure that I show up in a positive frame of mind, healthy, rested and ready to contribute. In hindsight I should have left the A game reference out.
