I guess I need to get my hands on a respirator mask. :(
Does anybody know where I can find one locally? I'm lucky to have my HEPA filter indoors, but the crap in the air outside hits me like a brick when I try to exercise.

This is the stuff we sell at my work. I've been wearing the full shebang with the interchangeable cartridges. It gets sweaty as I work but I would rather have a sweaty face than dirty lungs.

Nice plug Kevin.
Home Depot or Lowe's. Check in the area where they sell the airless paint sprayers. Having a mask when operating that gear is SOP, and why I have one.

How long are people going to wait to ride in effected areas? I would love to go for a ride this weekend, but will hold off if the air quality is still very poor. After the Cedar fire in 2004, I waited a week for the majority of the smoke and ash to clear.

I'm planning to ride Sunday. However, if the air is still bad Saturday, I will have to alert my ride partners that I'm headed up north to ride. I need to get 100 miles in this weekend and am going to try everything I can to do it.

I'm itching to ride.. I think I will go the Rose Bowl today. Air quality seems moderate...

I notice a serious difference in my breathing when I have my mask on at work. I hope if anyone rides it will be far away where it is clear air.
