Cycling is such a trivial matter in comparison to all the heartache the fires are causing, but it's still an important part of our lives. There have been a number of accidents this summer and I am curious as to how all the injured are recovering.
Awiner, Fangu, Ziptie, Heddy, VP, (I know I forgot others, sorry!)... how are you peeps doing? :o

My neck hurts, as does my back, side, elbow, knee, toe, and especially my shoulder. Compression fractures on the spine, doc isn't sure if it's new or an old motorcycle injury. Sucks getting old.
What happened to Dan?

You sure that wasnt Gina whipping you to slow down the pace??
I'm always wounded... my arm still hurts from the last accident and my back from the time before that, but my ankle is mostly better from the one that took out my TT bike... Still have neck stiffness and my hand has some numbness from that one too.

The splint is off. Stitches to come out on Monday. It's not healing as fast as I had hoped but it will get there. I would probably be back on the bike by now were it not for the sucky air quality.

Come ride sat...I'll promise I wont hit you with anything!
Got my cast off last week. Finally got to wash the stink arm. Man that felt good.:D
Doc says at least another month before I can get out on the road though.:(
So for now it's slogging away on the trainer to spinervals workouts and old TDF videos. Pain decreases daily, waistline expanding at nearly the same rate. Thanks for asking, Joy. :) Hope you're well, and that others are healing.

D'oh! I've been wiping for years, in front of the fork of course! I wipe the rear tire by placing my hand between the rear wheel and the seat tube. A friend saw me do it so he tried later while he was alone. He went down! Had a few bruises, cuts and had to replace his hb's!
