Classic & Vintage - What to do with old Fuji?

I am 60 yrs old and haven't been on a bike in many years. Recently my wife and I purchased new "comfort bikes" to cruise around on. I still have the Fuji that I bought in the mid-70's and am not sure what to do with it. It is a "Sports 10" 10 spd with only 180 miles on the little odometer I had the dealer install back then. It is all original (even the tires) and looks just like new. I have kept it sprayed with silicone and hanging from the ceiling for over 30 years. The gum wall tires hold air and the wheels spin freely but I know the grease must be old and stiff. Should I spend a few bucks and have it lubricated and add new tires or should I sell it as an antique as is? You can't tell it from new except for the old style "10 spd" look. Does it have any collectors value? Thanks for your help.

Not especially collectable, but it would definitely turn heads if you were to tune it up and take it out. You might really like it, or if not, you should be able to get $150.00 to $200.00 for it without any trouble.

Tune it up and ride it! It will be a fun ride, with a nostalgic touch for you! One of my bikes is a 1974 Fuji Dynamic 10. Fabulously fun....!

The serial no. is 76K10249 on my "Sports 10" Fuji. It has a SunTour 7-GT shifter with a number 4532 on it. The brakes are Dia-Compe center pulls and the tubing is "Hi-tension steel 661". The cranks are "Susino". The bike is red and the frame measures 22 inches. It is in like new condition and is 100% original including tires.

I didn't see any other numbers but does all this make sense? If so, where should I go to post it?

Also, I think I would like to sell it. Where is the best place to list it? Thanks for your help.

Thxs for the contribution. That's a 1977 model, with a frame manufactured in November, 1976. Most members tend sell their bicycles on ebay or Craigslist. There is also a sell/trade thread on this forum. Good Luck.

Pictures (good pictures of both the entire bike and crucial details) make a huge difference in what you can sell a bike for. A clean bike, in good condition, with good pictures - removes any fears or doubts on the part of the buyer about what they are getting.
