Just wanted to share this pic with you. It's a sassafras tree in my front yard. People in cars have been stopping to take pics so I took one too.

No way. All I can think of is the cold weather, rain, wind and shorter days which will be coming. Then there is the amount of work to do in the garden without taking any of the benefits. Great tree though and not surprised that people stop to look at it. And it looks as though you need a Bench halfway along that drive. Somewhere to rest while repairing the flat.

Definitely not as much fall color in these parts as usual. The warm weather kept the leaves green far past the usual time (not that I'm complaining about those October weekends!), so now they're just quickly turning yellow and falling off.
