This tubing was used on some of Marin's bikes in the 1990s. The 1996 Team Marin was one bike that was made with it.

I am trying to find out more about the tubing, and how it compares other steels -- with Reynolds steels, for example, and how it compares with 753 or 853.

Does anyone know anything about this tubing?

For what it's worth, the 1996 Mt. Fuji, which was comparbly spec'd and only $50 less than the 1996 Team Marin, used Fuji branded True Temper OX-III. I believe this tubing was generally considered to be equivalent to Reynolds 853.
