Just out of curiosity (and on behalf of a friend who is receiving all sorts of advice from different LBSs):

- What is the weight of a wheelset consisting of 2003 Ultegra hubs, 32 spokes in a 3-cross pattern and Mavic CXP33 rims?

- What is the weight of a wheelset consisting of 2003 Campagnolo Chorus hubs, 32 spokes in a 3-cross pattern and Rigida DPX rims?

- How do these rims compare against one another in general? (I won't ask about the hubs, since I have no intention of provoking the zealots in either camp.) Riding characteristics? Durability?

i really cannot comment about the exact specs and weight since i have a different setup..

I was planning to get the CXP 36h to mat with my XTR hubs(MTB).

Since they didn't have it, I got the Rigida..

The rim is quite good, I have 600kms on them and road conditions here are bad.. lots of pot holes and dirt-gravel-rocky roads...

So far, it has gone through the beating and are still true..
