This was only my second MR ride in 3 years. I think I'm a bit too old to be doing these midnight rides...:D

Yeah, that sure felt surreal with the floods lights and the wet street. By that time I lost my sense of direction as the group kept circling around the entire downtown area. After we reached Valencia I headed straight home. So were you in a costume?

As soon as we turned into Valencia @ 12:30am???? I headed up Union to Temple & towards Echo Park and got home a few minutes before 1am.
I remember seeing someone with a skeleton shirt and lighted pods on her head. Was that you?

I was on a brown Surly Steamroller.

roadfix - when you rolled up to bike oven i was the one that yelled "bike forums so cal roll call!" but, holy sh*t, this ride was awesome. best mr ride i've ever been on. i drank way too many free sparks, smoked way too much herb, and rode a lot faster than i thought i was going to.

and one of those a-hole bmxers was wheelie-ing and i told him, "watch it, you're gonna cause an accident." he told me "i ain't gonna cause sh*t." a little while later he swerved around me and got too close and his front peg went into my spokes and we both went down pretty hard. nothing serious, but my wrists hurt and my front wheel's a little out of true.

i hope the dude that went down right before everyone stopped in that tunnel is ok. pretty sure he broke his collarbone. check out the bump on his head:
