Bicycle Mechanics - E-type Square Taper 73mm BB?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It looks like the el-cheapo UN-25 is made in a 73mm e-type, but who sells it? I'd like to find a UN-72 but they're long gone. Any non-Shimano options I should look at?

Jenson has the Shimano BB-UN26 in 73mm x 122.5 for $12. Here is the URL:

Thanks, but that's not an e-type BB. And I forgot to specify that I need 113mm spindle.

OK, in that case, have your LBS check the QBP catalog to see if what you want is still available.
Your best bet will probably be ebay. Those BB weren't ever very common. If you are in love with the frame a new crankset might be in order as the Octilink version is still widely available.

Thank you! The Shimano Australia website still lists the UN25 as current. Didn't even look for a UN26.

I'll bet Phil Wood has what you need. Check Harris Cyclery online. They are expensive, but REALLY nice stuff. bk
See this link, he might have one available: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=355809
