Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this. I can't believe that their tech manual has nothing on how to do this.

I have a 2003 Z1 FR QR20

I want to change the springs to the extra heavy duty and top off or raise the oil level.

Thanks

un do the top caps (21mm wrench)

push forks down

remove springs

insert new springs

add oil to legs, making sure it equal to the other leg

replace top caps,

job done

Don't forget to release the preload before undoing topcaps :)

Sounds simple enough.

What are the aluminum hex bolts for on the bottom of each fork leg? Based on your description they are to be left alone?

thanks for your comments and help.

Yeah can you be more specific? I have the same question and i need guidance since marzocchi ommited to put service instructions in the manual for 2003 Z1 . Also how much oil should be put and of what weight? IS there any complete service manual with breakdown instructions available? Marzo site doesnt have anything relevant and they also denied to send me one.
