A little post-production to lighten up the face a bit? I love the grey sky background.

The best pictures are when you get in their face. (and maybe get your camera muddy as well :D )

Post production, yep, but I actually didn't have to lighten up the face by hand for this one. And you're absolutely right about the muddy camera. My lens hood had nothing to do with cutting glare that day - it was all about being a splash guard. ;)

Ya, somnambulant and I both know about his hunt for a point so we spread the word and tried get a ton of people hollering for him as he tore around the course.

This picture comes from yesterday's cross race in St. Louis. The stairs made their official debut. I took 8th in the "A" race. The course also included two sand pits. Best course ever for a STL cross race. I'm the first down the ramp.

ron, when did you start riding for DogFish?

About a month ago. Things just didn't work with ABD. Too far, mostly. A lot of the guys on Dogfish are really into cross, and that's my favorite part of bike racing. How have thinks been going for you?

I was thinking about the fact that that guy is about to remount while in the drops, and I didn't even notice the wittle barriers. :)

Nope! The first set yesterday was half-height. The A's just bunnyhopped them. I was too scared to try. :(

Well I've finally got a photo to contribute. The holeshot was given to the first person over the dirt pile (no holeshot if you went around it). We were the first race of the day. I hit it far too fast, but hey hindsight is 20/20. For my troubles I got $10 and a light lol. The race after us conveniently circumnavigated the pile :P.

The wheel is by and large, more toast than a toasted wheel can be. Think 5 inches off to either side, new rim on the way :P.

Nope. Seems like a old hippie only kind of category - perfect for the Pacific NW.

...besides...we had to make room in the schedule after we added the recumbent category.

Well, some of us have been pushing for a specific "old hippie" category, but unicycle and clydesdale are the best we've been able to do. :)

Oh don't worry, you can smoke up before your race in any category except UCI Elite. ;)
