Has anyone here gotten one of these stands?

If so, do you like it? Would you recommend it?
Thanks....(no affiliation of course....just looking for information)

I have the performance Spin Doctor version. It looks a little different, but the stand is the same principle. See it here (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=24377&subcategory_ID=4216).I think it gets the job done. I haven't had any problems using it, except that the downtube can't be too big, otherwise the mechanism that holds the bike to the stand won't work well.

Well....I guess maybe I'll give one a try for the team.

Yeah...I got one. What do you want to do with your stand? This is just enough to get by....and lacking just enough to make it easy to use. If $$ is a factor...it'll do. If you can pop another $75 ... get a real stand that is fully functional.

Bigcat,
What stand is the best bang for the buck then around $100.00-$125.00?
I have also considered this stand the OP linked, just haven't pulled the trigger yet as I have been concerned about it for the price. The old, You get what you pay for saying!

The Nashbar workstand,Item No. » BN-WRKST,reg129.99 now69.95.
That style of stand is okay - I've used one for some time. There are certain things that are better done off the stand, but the same is true for the kind that clamp the seatpost.
The "retails for $150" is bull****, btw. Retail is closer to $50. But for $40 shipped, you're not going to do much better.

I agree on the "Retail price" bs, but if the guy is available on Saturday's, I could use my wife's co. car to p/u the stand for $20.00 since it is only about a 45 minute or so drive.
Decisions, decisions...
I had seen the Nashbar stand also, but thank you for pointing it out. I also know Christmas is coming, so maybe a stand is something to ask for!

I had a similar design stand from Sears in the 1980s. POS. The price is right but did not check the shipping cost. Only a deal if the total cost is worth it. If this is the most you can spend on a work stand it is what you get for the $. Gotta be made in China.

I'll either get the Nashbar stand(waiting for coupon code) or wait until I pick up my welder from home. We've moved out of state recently, and I got lots o stuff in storage yet......
