how often do you launder your nice jerseys, soft shells, etc? do you have more than one to get through the week?

I launder all my baselayers & middle layers after one use...but I have enough to get me through the week, so once a week we do a load of cycling gear.

Jackets, vests, gloves, & outer layers might get a few uses before washing; all depends how high they rate on the Stink Index.

Shorts and jerseys and socks get one use and then into the laundry. Middle layers get one or 2 depending on how sweaty I got...usually 2 days. Outer layers - second long sleeve jersey, jacket and tights - 3 to 4 rides. Gloves and ear covers might go as long as 2 weeks. Shoe covers...about once a decade! The crustys keep them together:eek:;)

Last winter, I had no real cycling specific gear, but shorts got a week, shirts (cotton t-shirts) got 1 day, middle layer pants got a week, middle layer shirts got 2-3 days, and outer layers got about a month, cause they just got muddy and icky within a day.

This winter, with cycling specific gear I'm thinking 2 days for bottom half layers, 1 day for shirts, and prob. weekly for outer layers.

But this is more because I have laundry in house as opposed to having to bike it down to the laundromat so it's easier to do.

Gloves, hats, facemasks, etc, based off of smell.

I'm not sure why this question is here in the Winter forum. I have no "nice" winter jerseys. I don't wear "soft shells" in the winter.

How often do I launder my polypros and wools ... once a week or so. My winter jackets ... once every 2 or 3 months. My shorts ... every few wears (same as during the summer). My tights ... once a week or so.

When my pants stand up by themselves.

Those must be tough in the mornings!

My stuff, about once a week. I have a short ride though, 3.5 miles. Nothing smells TOO bad unless I over dress, or it's mid-August.

my wool and silk stuff, every 2 rides, unless it was a sweat fest

all socks, shorts, any man made fabric, wash each time
