The Kansas City Cranksgiving is an insane race and shopping spree all over the city - checkpoints are set up a various stores - you check in by buying a specific food item at the stores - there is no registration fee - your food purchases at the checkin points are your registration - all food items are then donated at the end of the race to the soup kitchen. Just a great way to have a great day and help those in need. Bring your own bicycle and something to carry the food items in - all are welcome to participate.
We start at 2 PM at the Discovery Center 4750 Troost Avenue Kansas City, MO where everyone will receive a manifest and instructions on what to buy. You'll ride to the 5-7 grocery stores, bring back your items and receipts and meet at Acme Bicycle Company in the Crossroads district for the after party and awards. Awards to the fastest and most complete male and female and a special trophy, the Mott-ly Cup to the most generous. We've got bands, refreshments and door prizes lined up.
You'll need to bring: a Bicycle (You could actually run it if you're that hard-core) about $10 to buy groceries and something to carry them in and a pen
That's it. No entry fee (if you feel absolutely like you must pay something, feel free to join the Federation or donate to our light fund.
