Northern California - Mt. Tam via Mill Valley -- November 10

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Okay, so my temperature hasn't dipped below 101 in the last 8 hours.. I"m going to take Petes advice and sit this one out. I thought I'd be able to make it, but if its the slightest bit cold in the morning and I'm sure it will be, then I'll just be torturing myself. Mt. Tam will be there when I'm not sick, and the weather is warmer.
Good luck on your ride tomorrow and be safe.
Pace? I'm getting back in the saddle after a two month hiatus as a result of a broken collar bone so I'm slow and stuff but I've got a double ten speed and grit--lots of grit. What's the story, ride leader?

Why don't we get a penninsula ride sometime soon. I missed every ride for the last 3 months. Maybe we can dodge the weather late fall. I'm doing the Turkey ride Sat. after thanksgiving Morgan Territory/Diablo so don't make it that weekend. :)
Pete
BTW, talked to Henry today and he says maybe December riding may be possible. We can do a Short/long ride combo possibly.
Pete
We could start a ride around the San Bruno/Millbrae area where he lives. Lots of options from there.
(Then, we could end with Dim Sum at one of the superb restaurants in Millbrae :D!)
There's a big ride doing this fixed and geared today, look out for em'

Or we could start at his house, then go to Skyline, then ride along the bike path at Sawyer's Camp. Oh, BTW, did I mention the 20% grade from his house up to Skyline? Minor details ...

Ron, would you go up San Bruno ave to the top? It seemed to me to be more forgiving, even if you have to double back a couple blocks. Sounds like a great idea, Sawyer, and Canada road, with long riders doing Kings mountian, portola loop.
Pete
Wait, where's the ride leader? It seems that Ventoux should be calling the shots, it's his ride after all right?

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. Sounds like we have a December ride plan. I'll start a new thread on it after we hear from Henry.

He said yesterday that he was going to ask his handlers if he could hop on the stationary to get things toning up a bit. That would be a good start.
BTW anyone else riding today aside from the SF group? seems like everone is online today.:)

It's a little late for a reply I suppose. Pace will be moderate. I can get up the mountain but no records will be in danger!

Got some errands to run today ... more specifically, post office, and since they close around noon, it means sacrificing the morning ride. I guess I'll ride my bent to the PO.

The sky is clear. I can see Mt. Tam from my house and I hear it calling me. The weather radar is clear of showers too.
Will anyone be at the bridge at 9:30?

Too far and too short notice for me ... sorry Vic ... I'll probably do something this afternoon in the South Bay.
