Hello, I am just recently getting more serious about my biking – bought my first road bike about a month ago and have enjoyed it a lot. I was at my LBS yesterday and they had a sale going on so I decided to try on some shoes, I focused on the SiDi Titan as it was in my price range ($100 on sale). My question is about the fit, are the shoes supposed to be tight? Like glove tight? So optimally you are trying to eliminate any movement of your foot in the shoe?

Also can these shoes interface with any pedals given the proper hardware?
Thanks.

Gustaf, does your LBS have a good selection of shoes from different brands? When I bought my new shoes last week at SuperGo/Santa Monica, I tried on shoes from Shimano, Carnarc & Sidi and in various models....the shoe that was the best fit for me and in my price range was the Sidi Titan model....I noticed some shoes run wider and smaller, so it's really important to get the best fit and try several models. I'll be using my Sidi's with Speedplay's, but they will work with Look and I believe the Shimano's....Honestly, your LBS should tell you what shoes work with what pedals and explain about the adapter plates, plus show you if you have a good fit...at least mine did, which was important as it was my first time buying road shoes. Good luck to you!
