I recall that someone gave a link to the A to B website which requires a subscription to see the article--at least that is what I encountered. Bike Friday put a copy of the review on their website.

Apparently a little of what BF Engineer/Designer Rob English has been up to as a personal project, and I would guess possible future product. Looking at the bike head-on, that seat tube is really thin horizontally.
From the BF website: "HPV champ and BF tikit co-designer Rob English actually rode the distance, drafting a staff vehicle at 35-40 mph on his experimental ultralight Friday for around 10 miles. He decided he was concerned something might break or fly off at that speed so broke off and arrived separately. Movie clip: Watch for the video of Rob by Ted Wade, to be posted on YouTube channel 'bikefriday'."

Maybe they are finally learning how to weld aluminum. Now if they could only teach thier videographer how to make a video. [Edit: just teasing.]

Thanks for that. BF scored a coup when they hired Rob. Too bad that thing does not look like it folds well. Nevertheless, I hope they will consider making one of those in all Ti, not just aluminum.
They also better get that design protected before other manufacturers swipe it.

English's prototype looks great - if it makes it to production, expect to pay a pretty penny.

Robs experimental bike does fold well just differently than most Fridays. It is based on a Pocket Pilot and the seat mast removes easily instead of folds. The rest of the frame folds as does a normal Friday. I believe when I saw the bike he was using a titanium seat tube. Roger
