Tomorrow I enter Guatemala. I was wondering if anyone has bike experience in this country. I hear there are avid cyclists and good shops, but I would appreciate some names and cities. I'd like to stay clear of Guatemala City, but will go there if I have to. I'll be in the area of Lago de Atitlan/Antigua/Guatemala City in about two weeks and then I can move around and find some shops by bus or bike.
I am riding a cannondale, by the way, and I think it needs a real good tune up and expert eyes. But she's still gonna get me there!
