I lived in Montreal between '89 and '92 and between '90 - '92 I used to go to this mechanic who had his own shop (a very small business) in the back of one of those old limestone walk-ups in the Crescent, Guy, Bishop St area immediately south of St. Catherine St. He was this Italian fellow named Manic and he was a real character - when he worked on your bike he would be quietly talking to the customer and dropping F-bombs every third or fourth word but he did good work. His shop vanished by about '93 - '94. Are there any Montrealers, or ex-Montrealers who dealt with him or know where he went?
