Hi my name is cathy, I just started riding on the road this summer, it is so cool. I was a runner for the past ten years, and biking is so much more. I am trying to find a woman's specific raod bike and have many questions. I am 5'2 and currently ride a real charged up Volvo Cannondale that I put road tires on. someone gave me the bike. It really doesn't fit me but it is a great ride. Probably has more road on and off capability that i don't even utilize or know about. It is real light with dual disc breaks. Well I want to ride through the winter .hope i can . I am excited about finding out more info. on cycling. who knows maybe i will enter a race one day. Cathy

Hello Cathy, there are actually quite a few WSD bikes available nowadays--my only really modern bike is a Specialized Dolce Elite in 44cm (I'm 5'0"). Best advice is to visit as many different bike shops as you can and see what feels best.

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for your reply I found a Specialized Triple in size 50 cm. It hasn't arrived yet but i am anxious to try it on the road. Only wish it didn't get so cold. I need suggestions on gear for the winter. thanks, cathy
