i seen an interesting article on the net where this guy re-wired these small currie motors and got a bit more speed and torque but man what a job it is to do that,i am still looking for a bigger wattage and voltage motor for my ezip,seen one or two good motors but may have to make up new brackets.

Do you have a link for the article?Many stator windings are available for auto alternators that can be easily converted to brushless motors with high power and much more efficient than off the shelf motors of high torque.Rebuilt auto stators cost as little as $8. for many voltages.
