Broken Leg - No Not Me!
Err! I believe that should have been,
Broken Leg - No Not I!
Today is my prep day for the big CO.
No food since 10:00 pm last night until the procedure tomorrow am, so I decided I would celebrate preparation day by walking about 5.5 miles. I first walked this am, then the wife and I went to a sort of rugged, little used 1,250 acre Open Space area nearby, where we walked another 3 miles. This is an area where I have mtn biked, also.
We followed a mtn biking trail and were passed twice by two ladies about 50 challenging themselves on the trail. To us, they seemed real tired, and I watched as one almost fell going up a rocky, bumpy incline.
We walked on, and saw a 4 wheel drive park ranger truck. As we got closer, the ranger came from down the trail (he had driven as far as he could) and we asked "What's happening?"
It turns out that one of those ladies we saw had fallen and broken her leg.
Then we saw the ambulance approaching down the rugged trail. It appeared that it would be partly a "carry out" on a Stokes Carrier operation, as I don't think they could get the ambulance in there.

Well, you can probably tell I am totally bored today, with no food and awaiting my "next step" in the preparation process. That is about as exciting as it will get today!
