So while it looks like Noel is going east of us the effect of having a High north of us and Noel south of us has created a tight pressure gradient and the winds have been terrible this week. We have had 20-25mph sustained with gust from 35-40mph morning, noon and night since Monday. Rain expected with the wind today and tomorrow. Only hope for a ride this week looks like Friday.

Anyone in Fl venturing out in this wind?

Wind, I don't mind riding in,,,you just have pedal a little different doing in the direction against the wind. Rain on the other hand does make me want to do something else.

I ride in wind every day but 25mph sustained and 30+mph gusts are ridiculous

I'm on the west coast and haven't been able to ride either. We've had light rain and some not so light. If it doesn't rain this afternoon, I will be out riding. Haven't been riding since last Friday.

I had it a bit rough over here in Texas this past year as well. It did give me more strength though.

There's wind.... and then there's WIND

Gusts over 30mph and driving rain - not for me. If that makes me a wimp, I'm ok with that.

You bet! Did a 25 mile ride. Fantastic going East to West. Going back to the East against the wind and over a causeway was down to about 6 mph. At the top of the bridge I was leaning in about 30 degrees to stay upright. Don't ya love it in Florida.

Where we live, gusts to 30 mph are tame. Gusts of over 35 mph, is when I start to get off the bike. Once, while riding the winds changed and I expereinced gusts up to like 65 mph. In such gusts, it is better to walk your bike. Or if you do, don't forget your helmet.

I looks like I can get in about 45min this morning. I'm just waiting on a little more daylight.
