I have Ultrega double (2002) and when I down shift in front it overthrows the chain and drops it to the inside. What do I adjust to stop this? Thanks

Ok...disconnect your derailleur cable. Adjust the derailleur on the seat tube so the outside part of the cage is parrallel to the outer chainring. Adjust its height so there is a space about the size of a nickel between the lower edge of the cage and the highest tooth on the chainring. Shift into the largest diameter cog in the back. Turn the appropriate screw on the front derailleur, usually the one marked with the little 'L' untill the derailleur rubs on the chain. Now back off on the screw untill the noise goes away. Re-attach cable.
