One great way to put bicycling in a good light is to ride your bike in a parade.

I just registered the Bicycle Advocacy of Central Arkansas to ride in the Big Jingle Jubilee Holiday Parade. Its our 3rd year. Its a lot of fun. No one tells you to get on the sidewalk. We enjoy being able to meander along highway doing donuts, figure 8s and large circles.

Get out your fun bikes.

Check with your local parade. Registration time for most Christmas parades is about now. I bet they will be happy to have you and you will have a blast. :D

We are registered for ours! Just haven't decided if we are going to use the sleigh or the tandem(that we just bought) this year. Next year I wanna Bakfiets!:p

We have so many parades in DC. I'd like to ride with a bunch of car free people in one of them. Some people could walk, some seqway, some on our well used utility bikes.

I was on my bike checking out the floats before the start of a parade when I was still in High School and a friend of mine talked me into putting my bike on their float... the theme was '4 seasons of sports' and I fit right in. :D
