Northern California - Is that a bike path along I-80 between Fairfield and Vallejo?

Is it open? Does anyone use it? I drive by it a lot, never seen a bike on it, though.

Yes, it's a bike path. Unfortunately, the road leading up to it from the Fairfield side has been closed due to landslide potential. I am curious when the repair work will be done because I would like to bike to my family's home in Vallejo. Of course, you can always ride the frontage road along 680 into Benicia.

They are still working on it. There is no projected completion date as far as I can tell.

I didn't know there was a bike path that runs from Fairfield to Vallejo. Is it a multi use trail or bike lane along side 80. Any more info or a map would be great! :)

Here is a link to a nice cycling map of Solano/Yolo county. I often stare at this and plan new routes. They give these out at the Vacaville Pearl Izumi store (and probably other bike shops in the area).

note: page 2 of the link shows the 'Solano Bikeway' that runs along I-80

Yes I have seen (for a long while) the lights and the apparent construction down there. How long can it take?

By the way, Scott, I noticed you won the commuter award... Congrats! And I also saw you in this months Bicycling mag. You get around!

Bicycling entry was for a spectacular crash. I am proud of the Commuter of the year award, though. Th work is probably hampered by the fact that that area is prone to land slides. Looks to me as if they are working on the same part for many months now.
