E-mailed on a bike trailer for $10. I NEVER manage to get the good deals... well, I got this one! She called me and I'm picking it up tomorrow evening.

It's a kiddy trailer with a plastic tub... sure, it's cheap, but the wheels are spoked, not plastic, and worse case I can use the wheels and hitch and build my own trailer.

Hurray for craigslist! :D

+1 and my congrat's! I picked up a used Xtracycle last week, paid a bit more than you did, but I'm pleased as punch. Hurray for craigslist! :D

Woot! I got it... it had one flat tire, and the bearings all need to be repacked and the piece that mounts to the seatpost is missing... but for $10 I've got no complaints.

I strapped the arm to my rack with nylon straps, and towed it home... It's AMAZING how much respect and care the cars show while you're towing a kiddy trailer! Not a single honk or really close pass. Fixed the flat and cleaned it up a bit... gonna get something to mount it to tomorrow so I can hook it to the bike easily... and modify it a bit to better suit what I'm going to be using it for...

I think I'll try to retain the kiddy trailer look as much as possible... I like the carefulness of the drivers when I was towing it.

Oh... and I was looking at the frame of the trailer... if I take off the plastic tub, the frame would make a perfect base for a cargo trailer... mount a Rubber Maid tub to it to hold stuff... It'd probably be a lot lighter, too.

Hmm... possibilities....
