Fifty Plus (50+) - Another Great Day (Some pics)

Working in a 7/24 operation has certain advantages such as rest days
during mid-week. Tuesday 10/30 was a glorious day in Upstate N.Y.
Started out on a 30 miler at about 09:30 A.M., sun was shining and the
temperature was just climbing up from 45 degrees F. (it was low 60's
by mid-day). I love this time of the year.

Cranky: Where do you pick up the Lakeshore Trail? I think I recognize the sign and the pond in the photo. Is that the eastern end, or does it go all the way to Sea Breeze? Where is the western end?

Some of those shots *are* in the city. Others from the first ring of suburbs. Nature abounds, even within the city. You just have to get off the streets and expressways.

Cranky: Where do you pick up the Lakeshore Trail? I think I recognize the sign and the pond in the photo. Is that the eastern end, or does it go all the way to Sea Breeze? Where is the western end?

The Lakeshore Trail shares the city sidewalk from the O'Rorke bridge all the way
to Camp Eastman along the north side of Lakeshore Blvd.
The sidewalk ends and the blacktop trail begins at Camp Eastman and runs all
the way to Culver Road (still on the north side).

edit: I usually take Rock Beach Ave. from St Paul...its fun to blast thru those
little rolling hills and traffic is nill.

Yes, it's leaf peeping time. I'm planning on doing a run through rural Arkansas this weekend or next. They say that the colors should peak about Nov 10. Such a pretty time. I may wait till next weekend because they say we should get near freezing this next week which should pop out the colors even more.

Here in the UK- Autumn is late. I have been mentioning that the leaves are green- Turn a manky Yellow and then are Brown on the ground. No pics as I have been working but literraly in the past few days- Fall has arrived. The trees are colouring up and it is pleasant.

Nowhere near as colourfull as your pics though so thanks for the posting.

How far can you travel on a bike like that? Do your arms ache with those high bars. Looks comfy.

I travel just as far on the Recumbent as on any of my Diamond Frame bikes...
farther in fact.

Arms don't ache at all. The grips on those "Ape Hangers" are right where my hands
are quite commfy, and the adjustment range on them is very adequate for various
size people. I must admit though that the "Under Seat" steering available on
some recumbents is hands down (pardon the pun) the most comfortable I've
ever ridden.

Tue & Wed were beautiful here on the other side of the state as well but it looks like our trees are a little further along. The oaks haven't released yet - suspect thats over the next 3 weeks and I will be up to my neck in them. I like the bike - looks like a human powered chopper.

Another EZ Sport owner in the 50+ forum. I'm shocked, and pleased. Great bikes. bk
